An air conditioner is a home appliance, system, or mechanism designed to dehumidify and extract heat from an area. Although, an air conditioning unit is comprised of many parts, yet the most significant part of this appliance is air condition filters. The purpose of the air filter is to keep the interior of the air conditioning system clean.
As is the case with any other gadget, these filters need timely and regular care and upkeep. Since these are prone to going bad with the use, the cost of the air conditioner goes high if we keep filters changing. So we have a solution to this problem.
Turn off the air conditioning unit while cleaning the filter. Locate the ventilation duct where the filter is positioned. There are two types of air conditioning units depending upon the position of the filters. You can find them both on the walls or at the ceilings.
Open the hatch where your air filter is installed. On the top of the hatch, we find two latches that spin over it. Unscrewing them can take out the hatch. Gently remove the filter by dragging it from the ventilation duct. Well, this is the case when the filter is installed at the ceiling. You do not need to remove the filter in case it is installed on the walls.
